Patch Protocol

1. Do not let anyone wear your patch.

2. Do not drive with your patch on.  Before getting into the car, remove your vest, turn it inside out, fold it and place it in your rear seat or passenger seat.  This is showing respect for your colors.  Same thing goes if you are going to be a passenger.

3. If you are out to eat or be some place public.  Do not hang your vest on your chair.  Take off your jacket and put on your vest if you are too warm.  Always keep your vest on.  Never hang your vest on the windshield of your bike and walk away.  That is an invitation for someone to take your kut and hang it in their clubhouse.  It is permissible to wear BFC soft colors on hot days.

4. Even in church.   Follow #3 above.

5. Never leave your colors unattended.

6.  Wear your patch with pride any time you ride.  Again, this is a reflection of the club world.  They wear their patches all the time and we should as well.  Not wearing your patch or choosing when and where you wear your patch, shows them we do not have pride in our patch.  There are BFC people clear across the nation (including Pastor Z) who have worked very hard and have done an awesome job of ensuring we can wear our patches with pride.  It is understood there are times when you may choose to not wear your patch. That is quite okay, but those times should be rare and not very often.

7.  We forbid any BFC member from wearing or displaying any "support items" such as t-shirts, patches bike or helmet stickers with the logo or name of any 1% motorcycle clubs.  We must remain "TOTALLY NEUTRAL" with regards to these organizations for many reasons.

8.  Do not lay your patch on the ground or over your bike.  If you must do this for some reason turn the vest inside out and treat it with respect (much like the American flag).

These protocols are a reflection of the 1% world.   If you think about it...these rules make good sense.  We are Bikers For Christ.   We lose major respect and are not taken seriously if we do not follow these simple rules.  Always remember that what we do here may affect BFC members who are ministering in other parts of the city, state, and country for that matter.

Also...be mindful of the patch placements.  Attached is the information on how patches should be placed.  All patches with BFC colors must come from HQ:  no home-made or locally made patches please.  That is so we can maintain a consistent look and are in step with the rest of the country.
